I have been associated with many of the members of Cornerstone Baptist Church for over thirty years. My involvement began when my uncle invited my brother and me to a Bible study on the book of Daniel. I was still in college at the time and working for our family construction company. I managed to squeeze two years of college credit into six semesters of class work before I was married in 1978. I then went into residential construction full time.
Meanwhile, I grew in my knowledge of the scriptures and became more involved in serving in the church: first as an usher and then teaching and working with teenagers. I later taught an adult class and moved into the position of worship music leader and choir director. I still lead the singing in our worship services, teach an adult small group, and lead a discipleship study group. I am the grateful father of two children and "Papaw" to six grandchildren. God has been incredibly gracious to me time after time throughout these years, just as He has been to all of us. What good thing in our lives cannot be ultimately traced back to its root as a gift of God through Jesus Christ our LORD?
