In September 2008, Cornerstone began a 30 week children’s ministry on Sunday evenings from 5:45-7:00 pm called Truth Trackers. We are pleased to offer this program to our members and those in our community who desire to have their children participate. Truth Trackers is designed to help teach children the doctrine of God’s Word through a systematic approach including scripture memory and the use of daily devotional materials. It is also a time of fun through games and special events.
Tiny Trackers is the program for children ages 3-kindergarten. Because of age, it teaches children simple doctrinal truths. In Tiny Trackers, children memorize one verse a week. The topic of the week comes from that verse, as does the lesson and illustrative stories. Children have times set aside for games and crafts.
Scripture Spies is the program for children in 1st through 3rd grades. The children learn doctrinal truths progressively through repetitive scripture memory and daily devotionals all connected to the doctrinal theme. It is made up into four segments: devotional time, memory time, lesson time, and game time. Devotional time is a done on a daily basis.
Faith Force is the program for children in 4th through 6th grades. Similar to Scripture Spies in its approach, Faith Force teaches doctrinal truth systematically through repetitive scripture memory and daily devotionals connected to the doctrinal theme. The program is also made up of the four segments similar to Scripture Spies.
Each child, in all three segments, receives a memory book and, for the older ones, a devotional guide for their weekly participation. Awards are given for the completion of each doctrinal theme throughout the year and at the end of the year for full participation. Because of these costs there is a nominal fee for each child’s participation.
