I attended Brewton Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia, where I received a BA in Psychology and a BA in Christianity. I counseled children for the State of Georgia for a few years, and after a couple of moves ended up in Florida where I met my wife. I have been married for eight years to the greatest wife a man could ask for; her name is Ellen. Shortly after getting married, we moved to Indiana where I started a new job in pharmaceutical sales. I continue to enjoy that position to this day.

We drove past Cornerstone Baptist Church when we were in Indianapolis looking for a place to live. Both of us said, “That looks like a great place to go Sunday.” After moving into an apartment in Zionsville, we did just that and have been here ever since. Cornerstone is a great group of believers, and they have taken us in like family. If you’re in the area, come on by and look us up. You’ll really enjoy it.

My responsibilities at church are...As a deacon, I minister to the needs of the church and support the pastor wherever I am able. I teach an adult Sunday School class, which is very exciting and challenging as we dig into God's Word together. I am also a disciple-maker, using Christ’s model to lead and disciple small groups. If I had a dream vacation I’d...go to Hawaii. A couple of years ago my wife and I went to Maui and spent a few days on some of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. Once you go to Hawaii or one of the islands you will definitely want to go back.

My Favorite Bible verse is...1 John 5:13 and Matthew 6:25-34. I talk with many folks who struggle with the assurance of their salvation, and this is a clear passage I rely on to begin our discussions. I also like the reference in Matthew about worry and seeking His kingdom first.

If you want to read a good book get…Jim Burg’s Created In His Image and also Stuart Scott’s The Exemplary Husband.

If I could do a hobby for a living I’d...write movie or restaurant reviews. I love watching movies and trying various restaurants. Maybe I'd do a show on The Food Network! I really enjoy eating at different restaurants.

My favorite sports team to cheer for is...The Indianapolis Colts - My wife says I get excited about two things: My Wife and FOOTBALL. Love you honey :)

The best movie I’ve seen is...Lonesome Dove.

My Favorite song or Hymn is... "I’ll Fly Away", and "There Is A Fountain". How amazing our God is to use life’s joys and tragedies to strengthen men women to write such moving, inspirational songs.

Why do you do what you do?...God is developing in me a strong love for His church and those in it. Christians know that Christ died for our sins and have received the gift of salvation. However, many of us experience loss because we often forget that He also established the Church and loved her with all His heart. I serve Him as I grow in love for others and His Church, and I hope to bring others back to the church that Christ established.
